Series: 3rd Quarter 2026
September 13, 2026 | Olubunmi Adisa
Pst. Bunmi Adisa teaches on “The Power to Do,” emphasizing the importance of moving beyond simply knowing what to do and taking action. As Philippians 2:13 reminds us, it is God who works in us both to will and to do according to His purpose.
She outlines four key steps: knowing what God requires (Deuteronomy 10:12–13), thinking and meditating on what we know (Philippians 4:8), planning and strategizing, and finally, doing. Knowing is important, but it is in doing that change takes place.
The central message is that the bridge between knowing and doing is power. According to 2 Thessalonians 1:11 and Hebrews 13:20–21, it is God who equips and empowers us to accomplish His will. Through the Word of God and prayer, we receive the strength to act with diligence, consistency, sacrifice, and determination.
Ultimately, the power to do comes from God. As Deuteronomy 8:18 teaches, we must remember that it is God who gives us power, and no matter how far we go or what we accomplish, all the glory belongs to Him.
