SONGS OF TRIUMPH

Series: 3rd Quarter 2026

September 20, 2026 | Olubunmi Adisa

Pastor Bunmi Adisa teaches that triumph is a great victory that comes through a battle. As believers, we should expect to encounter challenges and spiritual opposition, but we do not fight for victory—we fight from a place of victory, because Jesus has already triumphed and given us victory through Him (2 Samuel 22:1; Colossians 2:15).

The Christian life involves spiritual battles, and our ability to stand does not come from our own strength. Ephesians 6:10–13 teaches us to be strong in the Lord and to put on the whole armor of God. God has already supplied everything necessary for the battle; our responsibility is to put on and actively use what He has provided. We must also recognize who we are truly fighting, understanding that our struggle is ultimately spiritual rather than merely against people, circumstances, or situations.

Psalm 118:15–16 reminds us that victory and rejoicing dwell in the camp of the righteous. Our praise should therefore reflect confidence in God's faithfulness and what He has already accomplished.

Finally, after doing everything God has instructed us to do, we must stand (Ephesians 6:13). A battle lasting longer than expected does not mean it has been lost. We are called to remain steadfast, refuse to surrender our position in God, and continue standing in the strength He provides.
